it's not the pro mouse, specifically, that has this problem. the older puck mouse did this, as did the Apple Design II mouse that preceded it, and the Apple Design before that. and any other mouse made by anyone else that's in wide distribution in high-wear deployments. when I worked for the school district way back when, we had almost the exact same problem with our logitech mice on the PCs, as well as the compaq-labeled mice on the compaqs units. really, it's a mouse + EDU combination... it doesn't matter who makes it or whether it's being used "correctly" or not. we saw very little of this, on macs or pcs, when i worked at the university (several thousand seats), nor at the ad agency (almost a thousand seats). -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
