As with everything Mac, there are at least two ways to do this. 1. Create or download coloured folder icons (a good place to look is Xicons.com). Get-info on the coloured folder you want to use, click once on the icon in the get-info box, Copy, then do the same for the "generic" folder and do Paste instead of Copy. 2.
