That's a new one on me, and I replace these on a daily basis. There are 2 CRT types: HH and LG. If the tech was a rookie and ordered the wrong PAV board (or ordered the right one and forgot to check the switch setting) you can have it fail, but it won't blow the CRT. > I have an iMac DV (firewire/dvd) with a CRT that loves to act up.
