This might work for you: I'm able to share Mozilla profiles between 9 and X by copying the "Application Registry" file from my OS X "[user]:library:Mozilla" folder to my OS9 "documents:Mozilla" folder. Should work in reverse if your profiles are from OS9. Should also work with Netscrape since it uses the same pref file structure and filenames.
