Does anyone have any experiences running an iMac DV (400MHz, 384MB, 40GB

Quartz Extreme enabled?
No, it only wrks on any Radeon or Apple GeForce cards. To my best knowledge, no CRT G3 iMacs have either chip, the best being a 16MB Rage 128.
Does Classic run OK?
Takes an age to start on G3s, but yes it runs ok speed wise. Trouble is it uses all the RAM and slows everything else down.
What's this I hear about needing to put Jag on the first 8MB partition of the drive.
That's be the first 8GB, and I don't know if it applies to later iMacs.
Mum keeps
complaining that all her friends say that windows is better... I don't want
her going to the dark side!
Get hold of a Windows PC and let her play with it and do stuff with it that she normally does in her iMac, then see her start spitting cues when it crashes or starts going wrong :), at this point unveil Jaguar....
FYI I've got Jag.6 running on my 7300 as I write this - it's great! (That
radeon 7000 helps) .
Neat stunt that, I've done it on mine too - G3/300 card, 4GB hard disk, 584MB RAM, ATi Rage 128, not a bad system all told.
