I first loaded OS X on the first 8 GB partition of a three partitioned 20 GB drive on my G3 350 MHz Slot load iMac. For reasons, I went back to OS 9 and wiped the drive clean. Recently I've upgraded to a 120 GB drive, partitioned. This time the first partition is 25 GB and I've loaded OS X and Classic within that first 25 GB. Currently using 10.2.6 and 9.2.2. The installer has never told me I need to be within the first 8 GB. Maybe it's only the earlier version of iMac? Now, there is one 'problem' that has come up. When I first installed the drive, I wanted Classic on a separate partition but it did not want to be there. I would still like to have a separate OS 9 on a separate partition, and I don't believe it's the size of that first partition that's stopping the install. I could be wrong. peg -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
