Yes some of us are just Mac heads and can not help ourselves, tell the truth on the Consumer Reports ratings we all gave the Mac a 10, well maybe just one little 9 just to be truthful.
As Matt Deatherage from MDJ said "despite oodles of complaints over the past 3 years Apple still ignores the requests to drop the attitude and make OS X more like the Mac. In response people who are productive in OS 9 are ignoring X" Now hopefully this will change with the new hardware coming out, but as Matt said "A forced choice is no choice and politics has triumphed over productivity and all Mac users have lost."
Agree or disagree X is the biggest division I have seen in Mac users from my 1st 128k machine. People get down right nasty if you look sideways at X in certain circles, and the whole switch could have been done better, easier, friendlier, more well more Mac like. I look at all the software x 3 I have and think all this goes out the window. The foundation is great, I get the UNIX but why the radical change from the previous Macs custom ability and ease of use. Under the hood is a beast that tickle techies. Frankly zapping the pram was fine.

OS 9 through all the 10s x 3 just to support Apple and while 10 sits on the sidelines, I still use 9.
