Apps in Classic tend to run FASTER than if they were
booted into OS 9. I have repeatedly tested this with several "big" apps
like Photoshop 4 & 6
My experience in PS6 seems otherwise, but that's just going by "feeling"
rather than actually testing with a stopwatch. I'll try a real test this
evening. What you said doesn't seem likely, as OS X's overhead, and any X
apps that are running, draw processor time away from Classic.

Not if you have Quartz Extreme. And actually, my comments were based from a machine that doesn't have QE.


It should be noted, however, that for best results you should have a lot of RAM (512 at least).
