I have a G3 iMac 400/128 running OS 10.1.5.
I just purchased an Iomega Firewire CD burner 40x12x48 and cant get iTunes 4 to recognise my drive. I installed Toast 5.2
Lite and it picked up my burner straight away.
Also I noticed (although I'm not that bothered) it doesn't burn in the Finder.
Hi Simon!
The fact that iTunes and the Finder both can't "see" the drive are related. It must have been unsupported in 10.1.5.
My suggestion would be to move up to Jaguar, or wait for Panther (which should be out in another couple of months and will be GLORIOUS btw). It is likely to have support.
In the meantime, you might check with Iomega's site, perhaps they've put up a driver since you bought the unit. You could also poke around the archives at macfixit.com and xlr8yourmac.com (search "Iomega") and see if someone else has a workaround.
