Under Toast, it tells me that it is a Iomega401248 Firewire. (from what I remember).
Where would I find the burn support document. I havent done this before and although fairly mac experienced never
bumped into this situation before.

What is the actual drive mechanism? Apple System Profiler should tell
you the specific part number, and you might just need to edit the burn
support document. I have used a Toshiba combo drive in a FW housing and
had to easily modify one file.

What does Apple System Profiler say? (ASP, Devices and Volumes tab with the drive connected and turned on) AFAIK, Iomega doesn't make the drives, they just package them. Apple supports a lot of drives, but it seems like only one drive for each manufacturer. So, each document has a drive part number. That's why you need the info from ASP. When you find it, they are located in: System/Library/Frameworks/DiscRecording.framework/Versions/A/Resources/ DevicePlugIns.
Another good resource is xlr8yourmac.com, which has compatibility information for a lot of drives, and often modified support documents for you to download.
