There are two problems that come up often with the 740s that I have seen: 1. If you don't use them for awhile, they dry up and won't print, or spotty printing. Also, if you remove the cartridge and don't immediately put in another, it dries up very soon. 2. After they have been used a lot, they start making a "kathunk" sound and other uncharacteristic sounds then all three of the warning lights come on. The only workaround I have found is to shut it off, change the paper thickness setting (the lever on the right under the cover) then restart. Works most of the time. My 2�.
