I took Chas'(s) advice and turned off the Screen saver. I haven't noticed the freeze problem in oh about 24 hours now. I hope we have found the root of the problem. If so, how do I repair Screen Saver so I can still see those neat family photos available now in iphoto?

My problem turned out to be bad RAM. I am sure that OWC will replace it quickly.
Yes. Me too. FREEZE. My eMac is about 3 weeks old, and i have to do restarts:
iTunes & Mail (also netscape mail) do not get along. Today, mail would not force quit.
There is more wrong here. I use iTunes all day as background music of my choice. Never had a conflict with mail. I'm a telecommuter so I run mail and use excel and photoshop almost all day long. iTunes plays very nice with other programs.
