Do you know if there is a way to turn off the brushed metal look?

Nope - not as far as I can see (I have the WWDC beta here on my iMac) and I doubt there will be in the final edn. I have to say - sexy tho it is - I do find all that brushed metal something of an overkill at times. Still, tis a small price to pay for a hugely improved finder so I'm not gonna have a wetty over it.

If you turn off the toolbar (upper left button) it turns off the brushed metal also.
