There's no built-in way, but rest assured somebody will come up with a hack that does the job. Or you can always learn a little XML and photoshop up your own "skin." That's all the brushed metal is btw -- a "skin" linked by XML.

There is an app called 'Duality' floating around for 10.2 that does skins. I never found one I liked though, unlike the six I have on my PC for Window Blinds. Last time I tried it it still hadn't covered all the bases, but it wasn't too bad.

Personally I *really like* the brushed metal on most things (particularly Safari -- it really "pops" the colourful web content out from the browser in exactly the way IE didn't) but I'm less enthusiastic about it for Finder windows (in Panther).

I like it too, my .Mac websites are all done in brushed metal as well, but it just seems a little 'over the top' for all the windows of the whole OS to be like that.

Time will tell, I guess, but for me the pinstriping in Aqua was harder to take. I switched that to Smoothstripes (ie no stripes) using a third-party system pref pane called Desktop Scheme and have been very happy with it ever since.

I LOVE the new default window panes. The new smooth bars and dialog areas look really nice. The new aqua buttons are yet again an improvement, I thought the ones in 10.2 were a big step forward, but the 10.3 style ones are even nicerererer :D.
