Just received news that college daughter's iMac G3 fried the power supply, rendering her computerless. Since I'm not technically oriented, I need some help. Given that what the tech said, the hard drive is okay, but it would basically be cheaper and more sensible to get her a new computer than grub up new parts and salvage this one. Is this sensible? And how would one go about recovering the data on the old hard drive?
