I'd guess that the OP was referring to the connector inside the computer
where you can unplug the internal monitor and plug in an external standard
Mac monitor.  My Rev. B has this, I'd assume The Rev. A iMacs would too.

The connector isn't external, you have to open the case to get to it - but
it does allow you to connect an external monitor.
