I run Mac OS X.2.6 with QuickTime 6.4 but I can play very few movie files, only a select MPEGs, never any AVI and not even a number of other MPEG files.
I have installed just about every codec I have found/been given, though I will add that I know very little about the whole thing other than that a codec is some sort of encoding/decoding filter/algoritm.
The folder Library/QuickTime has 73 differnt codecs in it!!!
Is there something I'm missing here ???
