I'm ready to upgrade the processor in my trusty grape iMac (G3/400MHz) so I can use Jaguar on it, and looking at the lowendmac website, there appear to be two options:
One by TechnoWarehouse, which is a G4/500MHz; <http://www.technowarehousellc.com/g4upforslloi.html>
One by PowerLogix, the iForce SL, which is a G3/900MHz; <http://www.powerlogix.com/press/releases/2003/030508.html>
After reading the user comments on xlr8yourmac.com, I decided on the G3/900. Alas! This upgrade seems to have vanished, a mere 9 months after being introduced! Anyone know what happened? Even on ebay I find nothing. I emailed to PowerLogix, but have received no reply.
Yeah, I could just get a new eMac (G4/1GHz) for $800... but that's a few hundred bucks I just don't have right now... not to mention that I *like* my grape iMac.
