When the folks who repaired my iMac Rev B's video
analog board had the case open (see previous post:
Monitor) I had them put in new memory I had bought
some time ago, but had never installed. 256MB (low
profile) in both upper and lower slots.

Much to my surprise, it was not the 2 sticks of
256MB I had paid for, but 128MB! So now I have to
deal with replacing the memory; luckily I have the
original paperwork from the purchase, it has a
lifetime warranty, and it was a reputable vendor.

Unluckily, it was the Chip Merchant, which is
"currently going through an ownership change"
since January 23. So I may be SOL.

Anyone here with an inside scoop on the Chip Merchant?
