Kim Thanks for the advice. I presently have 160Mb RAM but looks like I will have to go for 512MB to do anything serious. I assumed 256MB would be OK for run of the mill stuff like writing letters, browsing the the web, emails and tweaking the odd photo here and there. I'm surprised that some of the iMacs shipped with Mac OS X only had 128Mb RAM installed.
