Hello All,

My pupil is in trouble. Starting her on a iMac DV SE slotloading machine running OS X v. 10.3.3 all went well for two days. This morning the machine refused to start up. Chimes yes but thereafter just a small white square with a blue ball in the center. Never seen something like that. Also no further start up. Tried to start in Safe Mode but no change. Any other way to clear this, except starting from a bootable CD? And what could have gone wrong so that it can be avoided in the future.

TIA and greetings, Andre.
