I certainly hesitate to be alarmed, as I don't go to Warez-sites or other
off-limits sites, where you would expect this exploit to be present.
But if you do, install RCDefaultApp like John Gruber very competently explains.
In an earlier post, I said I was not going to take any further steps (beyond installing Apple's patch) until the next Apple update/release/patch.
After reading the article on Daring Fireball (very clear and well-written), I've decided to take John's advice and install RCDefaultApp and follow his recommendations. It took me all of 60 seconds. It's probably overkill, but with such a low inconvenience factor, I figured it was worth doing.
