hmm... simple question that I can't resolve.. I'd like to send someone a website link... I type it in mail... but it neither appears as a hyperlink (typically blue) and you clicking on it does nothing. I've looked around at mail setup , but don't see what I'm doing wrong. Any suggestions?
You're not doing anything wrong. The link looks "plain" when you're typing it in, but the recipient will see it as "active" provided that it follows the proper convention, it you put an http with a colon and two slashes first, then the www part and the rest of the address.
I think Apple felt that keeping the link "inactive" while composing would save people the trouble of accidentally clicking it and opening the web page. Whether you think this is a "bug" or a "feature" depends on your perspective I suppose. :)
