Hi, first time poster on this list here. I have an Office Mac 2001 problem that seems to be specific to my G3 imac DV 450/ OS 9.1. Whenever I start Word 2001 for the first time after boot I get a type 3 error and system freeze and once in a while a system bomb. I often get an error type 10 when starting Powerpoint. Doesn't matter if I launch by clicking a document or the apps icon.
Previous to this happening I was having problems with Words dropdown menus not working and other small bugs but trashing some Office pref files cured these. Also trashing finder prefs regularly helped with these minor things. I did a complete OS and Office 2001 reinstall several months ago and installed Microsoft Office SR 2001 (service release 2001). Things seem to have gotten progressively worse since then and the continuous crashes are a real pain. I have heard in the past of this being a problem. Anyone know how to deal with it?
