I have an iMac DV 400 mhz and have been having problems with freezing after
about 20 minutes. I go to start up and sometimes get a map of North and
South America and then get the sad Mac face. Does anyone have any idea
what's going on or any suggestions for a fix?
Your computer mistakenly believes that it should boot up from a network server (NetBoot).
The flashing "map" will resolve itself after a couple of minutes and boot from the hard drive. To fix:
1. Go to "Startup Disk" in your System Preferences 2. Click on the correct startup disk 3. Close the panel.
