Interesting. I have swapped the RAM (2 32M chips) but I might also try 
cleaning contacts and running with just one RAM chip. I have noticed that 
it recognizes the cmd-opt-p-r to reset the PRAM (gives another bong) even 
though there is never any display and the power light stays yellow.
