Most of the ink resellers (think4ink, cartridgeworld, etc) sell a 
cartridge with cleaning fluid in it that you install and run the 
cleaning program. The fluid cleans out the jets on the printer pretty 
good. Then you install new cartridges and are on your way.

a probable fix -- such as doing the ink head cleaning process via the 
BJ PU many many many times? Do some vendors have appropriate inkjet 
cleaning fluid cartridges that really work?
Tossing a printer on the trash heap seems just so sinful!
