Thanks to all for the advice on Outlook, etc. I trashed it. As far as upgrading my rev b to OS X, I'm not going to waste my time and money.
I wouldn't call OS X a waste of money under ANY circumstances, but I'd be the first to agree that with your "secondary costs" and the fact that you don't have a compelling reason to switch at this time, someone in your situation should probably just save the move to OS X for when you get your next Mac.
In my experience as a graphic artist (I'm working on three ads for USA TODAY as I speak), Quark 6.1 and InDesign CS are "out of beta." Photoshop CS works great, Illustrator still has some "rough edges" to it IMHO, and Acrobat 6 got off to a *REAL* bad start but it's settling down nicely now.For what I do, OS X is a waste until the software world catches up, and you guys keep "beta" testing it until it's really straightened out.
That's still not to say that you should jump ship, just a reassurance that when you do the tools are there and ready. PS CS is really the first upgrade since 4.0 that I've thought was truly worth the money.
