There are a few cross platform tools out there. However, a lot depends on what kind of stuff your wife wants to do with PC Anywhere. VNC can be used to access another computer using your computer, similar to PC Anywhere, but it has limited capability. Timbuktu is another alternative - it can work on both Windows and Mac.
