Hi,
I am considering purchasing some new RAM for my G3 233 mhz tray loading iMac.
apple.com no longer links to a retailer for that item. I called them and the Rep.
told me that I could use the SDRAM for the iBook SE.
The following item:

Apple Memory Module 256MB SDRAM SO-DIMM, 144-pin

So I have two problems the first is price, this module is priced at $100.
I've seen memory for my iMac at about half that price at fastmac.com
The other is a rumor I've heard that allthough the older iMacs are supposed to
top out at 256 mgs of RAM that in fact using the upper and lower slot you can get
them up to
512. Is this true? If so is it the same type of RAM module, or two different types?

Thanks in advance,
Matt
