I don't think that splash/nag can be eliminated unless you pay for QuickTime Pro.

IIRC (I have QT Pro) you see the nag screen on the first launch of Quicktime Player after boot. Before launching it, set the system date to ten years (or whatever) from now. Launch QT, click the "maybe later" button, then reset the date.


Now QT has a mental note to nag you again in 2014.
