You could also get a USB or FireWire to SCSI converter. This would be a little more "plug and play" than taking apart the SCSI drive and re-casing it, but you would need to make sure that the adapter was compatible with your iMac and its OS, and that the converter had the same type of SCSI connector as your hard drive. But if it's just a one time thing, buying additional hardware might be overkill.
