Hi Charles and thanks for the info. Last ditch hope - Is it possible that OSX is on a whole separate "partition" or some such? I am not exactly a power user so it would be easy for me to overlook the obvious.
If not, I will install my unused copy of Jaguar or if the price is right (haven't checked yet) I will buy another copy of Panther.
