Kathy; For the last 7-8 years I have used STFax for our small business. It originally came with a Zoom modem and I've since upgraded it a couple of times. Over that time I've recieved probably 5-10,000 faxes. All of our work comes in directly by fax and we really depend on it to run well and consistently. I'm about to upgrade it yet again and maybe this time we will do a machine upgrade along with the software upgrade. Believe it or not, we are still using an old Quadra 900 processor that was installed into a 950 case for the purpose. Even now as we soon upgrade, we still don't really need to. I cannot say enough about its dependability over time although their tech support on only one or two minor incidents was somewhat lacking... its good that the software itself has been stable. FWIW, yes I'd recommend the software as long as you don't count on the tech support people. As to if it will run on OSX I cannot speak for that...nor its reliability in that environment. As to the context we use for our needs, we keep it very very simple and we don't change much because of the importance of taking no risk with our income.
