This works on the tray load, but the slot load it is not a mechanical release. So you would have to do it with the power on for the slot loaders. >option 2 - hold down the c key (for CD) Make sure when holding down the c key, that you are not holding Shift and that Caps Lock is not on. You need to be telling the mac "c", not "C" (uppercase C will not tell the Mac to boot from the CD) Option 3: Hold down the mouse button when starting, that still tells the Mac to eject disks, and it will attempt to eject the CD (doesn't always work) Option 4: Hold down the Option key when powering up, continue to hold it until you enter the boot menu.
