I have an iMac DV SE, 400 MHz slot load. The CRT is dead on it, and I'm currently using it with an external monitor.
I recently aquired a 17" LCD screen for it. The LCD supports up to 1280 x 1024 resolution. The iMac only lets me select up to 1024 x 768 (the max the internal CRT supported). Is there any way of overriding that and using higher resolutions? Does the external video port even support higher resolutions, or is it just a tap off the same video feed that was going to the CRT? I'd love to bump this up to 1280 x 1024 if I can. -chris <http://www.mythtech.net> -- The iMac List is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and...
