Has anyone upgraded to tiger on a Blueberry 350 imac? Apple's website
says that firewire
is a requirement for Tiger, but then lists slot loading imacs as
upgradeable. The
blueberry 350 is slot loading, but without firewire.

Apple lists "Firewire" as a requirement not because Tiger actually needs firewire, but because only Macs with on-board Firewire have the ROM data necessary to install Tiger.

Hmmm. Is this something new with Tiger?

Older versions of OSX will install on tray loading iMacs - see the TidBITS article at <http://www.tidbits.com/tb-issues/TidBITS-765.html#lnk4>. I asked Adam how it ran on the 333, his response was "It's pretty reasonable, in fact... I'd keep Mac OS 9 capable of booting, though..."
