Humm, we've already been running it with 256 meg, and lowendmac.com
says it can go to 384, but I thought maybe someone had put in more.
Thanks

I don't think it can handle that much, but then again according to
apple's spec pages on it, it can only take up to 128 megs of RAM.
I would say don't bother, because I doubt it can take that much,

Hi Guys -
The tray loading iMacs can handle up to 512 MB of RAM - 2x 256MB, as long as it is of a specific type. I *believe* it is called low density, but I'm not sure. See this excellent guide at Djonmac.com - <http://djonmac.com/ram/upgraderam.html> RAM Upgrade for tray loading iMacs.

Also, visit the Apple Discussions iMac Exapnsion forum - <http://discussions.info.apple.com/webx?14@@.ef9fbc0> It is not necessary for you to sign up for an AppleID, a search of the forums should come up with some relevant threads.
