Ha Ha, that's funny. I asked the question about Tiger on a Tray Load, and

If you have this happen, check to make sure that your
processor card doesn't have metal retaining clips for
the SIMMs. If it does, make sure they aren't touching
any of the chip pins on the ram card.
I had this happen, and the iMac worked fine, it just
wouldn't register the full amount of memory. A quick
bit of electrical tape to insulate the retaining
clips cured the problem, and I had a Rev A happily
working with 512 MB of ram (2x 256).
