that's right. Until now it has worked on many macs that won't boot off the
original discs OS 9 discs used to generate the clone. And installing OS
9.2.2 has become as simple as dragging the content of the clone CD to the
HD!

I've checked and the Firmware is up to date

I've just added an iMac certified 512 MB from Crucial and it is correctly
recognised in 9.2. Even if the RAM would be bad, would that prevent the iMac
from selecting the OS X installer CD as startup disc? I doubt that.

I didn't find this in versiontracker, where can I get it from?

I'm stuck on this ugrade, would it be worth trying a random reset of the
PRAM and of the Power Manager?
