that's right. Until now it has worked on many macs that won't boot off the original discs OS 9 discs used to generate the clone. I've just added an iMac certified 512 MB from Crucial and it is correctly recognised in 9.2. Even if the RAM would be bad, would that prevent the iMac from selecting the OS X installer CD as startup disc?
