If I am reading the specs on lowendmac correctly, it is possible to install and use OS 9.22 without OS X on the first generation imac g4s at 700 and 800mhz. First, is this correct?
If this is indeed possible, then could I install using my 9.21 cd and then upgrade to 9.22, or must I have a 9.22 cd to get this to install? Where I'm going with all this is I'd like to have an imac solely for playing 9.x games such as Diablo without messing with OS X at all. I'd prefer to do this on a G4, but would consider an earlier G3 imac if necessary.
