John, that is why we implemented in our instructions for remote
clients how to enable SMTP authentication in their POP3 client.
Have not had any complaints so far about this one extra
checkbox (in most clients). I only maintain my local IP blocks
in the Relay For IP settings.
In Outlook Express it is just one check mark on the Account
Propeties/Server tab.
As I said earlier, some of our remote clients have made mention
that this makes them feel somewhat more secure. As if I added
this feature for their safety.
