All,
In the past few weeks, I received many calls from my users about problems
they have been experiencing when trying to send e-mails. Users are using
Microsoft Outlook (97, 98 or 2000) and / or Netscape Messenger to send and
receive e-mails.
Often times, messages will "hang" in the Outbox and accumulate there. If the
user actually executes a send and receive, they, often times, receive a "The
TCP/IP connection has been unexpectedly terminated by the mail server... ."
Other times, the program will prompt for the user to enter the SMTP Mail
Server address. And, still, other times the e-mail won't be sent.
MY belief is that this problem is directly related to disk space.
Considering that nothing has been changed in the config settings from the
time it was operating smoothly, the issue of disk space could very well be
the issue. Can anyone confirm or deny that? Any other ideas? Is it the Imail
software? Is there some setting I am missing?
