I don't support IMail directly...
I suspect that it is not intended to send mail to large groups.
What I recommend is that you use IMAIL's services by either:
1) Creating an alias for this group and using JMail to send a message to
that alias.
2) Moving this group into a list and then sending the message to that list.
The latter is better for really large groups because there are limitations
to the number of members you can assign to an alias.
