Subject: API Petition - Re: [IMail Forum] ASP Help

Anyone want to do a round two?  Let's face it the future of ISP's and IT departments relies on the services that they can offer, how closely those services can be integrated with existing business models, and how rich the features are.  I am not beating up on the IMAIL web interface, I just think that there needs to be an API set for their own good.  If ISP's all become ASP's who will buy mail server's that can not be integrated in to applications?  We need this thing too.  We are all invested in Ipswitch / IMAIL and know and trust it.

If you would like to re-petition Ipswitch for an API, please send me an email at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I will collect and add them to the first petition list and send them in again.  I did get a response, from Ipswitch, last time thanking me for doing the legwork and promising consideration, but a it has been 6 or 8 months since then and not a creature has stirred not even a mouse... [whoops] I mean nothing at all has been heard on it.  I said last time that I thought an API set would be of value and that I would be glad to pay for it.  Any seconds?  I think there needs to be a serious number of registered IMAIL users names in there to get action.  I say now as I always have that Ipswitch is a responsive company, we just have to make some noise on this one...

Serdar,
You are not alone.  We have petitioned IPSWITCH for an API set and are all hoping to see it in version 6.  Someone mentioned another platform on this list that supports API calls into it...

What was that?

As I mentioned before I have to rewrite all the Web interface with ASP but I don't know what methods to use to access mailboxes(inbox,sent,etc..) and delete messages.
