This is indicative of other problems.  I pushed all of the security updates,
including SP4, to more than 50 W2K Servers and hundreds of workstations last
night.

While we don't check each individual workstation, we DO check all of the
servers after a major security patch and we found no problems with any of
those servers.

You might want to check for viruses, worms or spyware on those servers.
(Yes, spyware can propagate to servers as well).

You may also have had these same problems previously and they just didn't
show up because you hadn't rebooted the machine(s) prior to the install of
SP4.

Just an FYI.  We installed SP4 on a win2k box the other night.  It
absolutely screwed the O/S up.  We can not get into anything with explorer.
Its basically trashes.  I know of 2 other boxes in an even worse state after
a couple of the SP4 hotfixes were applied.
