Thanks for your input. After finding out the price for IMail 2006
unlimited SA, I've decided to renew my service agreement at the current
prices (before the increase). I've been using IMail since version3.x, my
clients like it and are used to it. I still think it's great software, but
these price increases are wearing a little :(.
I'm keeping an I on how Smartermail 3.x turns out. I bought version 2.x,
but in my opinion, it definitely has some maturing to do before it catches
up with IMail overall.

That all depends upon your long-term plans. Trust me, the $695 is an
absolute bargain compared to what the new prices are proposed to be in 2006.
If you are dead-set on sticking with IMail for at least the next year, now
is definitely the time to upgrade.
If you are looking further down the road and actually asking yourself if you
can afford to keep paying a LOT more than that for an SA in 2006, and who
knows what in later years, then you'll probably want to wait until someone
else spills the beans. It is a lot, lot more than $695 retail though. I
think that everyone should be able to hear next year's rates before they
make any decisions about whether or not to stick with Imail. Some will find
the increase acceptable, some will not.
