The answer is NO! You can not stop spammers from using Webmail to send spam, b/c webmail does not give the IP address of the user--- therefore a 2nd party software like declude hijack which can handle spammers via their IP address- will not work-
The only way to do something w/ imail is to use content filtering and delete outgoing mail that looks like spam. Or wait for a release of Imail ( and I hear it wont be in this new version) that will identify the webmail user by their IP address. It is AMAZING lame how a great product like Declude can not function w/ Imail webmail for YEARS, b/c Imail won't program in the IP address for the user! dk -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] On Behalf Of dkaleky Sent: Thursday, November 17, 2005 7:21 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [IMail Forum] Stopping Spammers from Sending mail Imail has no way of stopping spammers from sending, nor does declude if mail is sent via web interface- Do any of the other mail systems mentioned here have a feature like that?
