In a recent thread I read that the new web mail client is really a web based IMAP client.
If that's the case I hope that Ipswitch has vastly improved the IMAP
service since 8.15hf2.  I have a fairly powerful server but I can't support
more than a few concurrent IMAP users.  About four IMAP users will max out
the box.  I have verified this on another Imail box as well.

The majority of our users are using IMAP4.  While cpu intensive,  I find IMAP is a stable service.  Years agos,  we had McAfee on the mail server with the imail folders *excluded*.  It caused such a slow down, we had to remove it.  Even when folders are excluded, the product slowed the imap and webmail services to a crawl.

If you have McAfee, disable teh service altoghether and see it that helps. If not, keep digging because IMAP does support more than 4 users.
