Yes, I had that exact problem.  I was able to contact customer service and they gave me two additional activations.

I doubt I will have a valid install with two additional activations, and I'll have to cross that bridge when I come to it.

So far I've attempted installation over ten times on various different platforms.  I've found that 2006 will install properly on a clean, brand new install of Windows Server 2000 that does not yet have all the service packs or updates.  Once you install all updates it will not install properly.

It will not install properly on any flavor of Server 2003.  You must set permissions manually.

So far I've been unable to get a fully working version of 2006 on any server.  Most of the time you have to hit refresh on iadmin to get proper data, the list server apparently doesn't follow the same conventions as previous versions since none of the web based subscriptions that worked on 8.x will work with 2006.

Many other issues already discussed here.  Too many to list.

It now seems obvious that Ipswitch released 2006 knowing there were major issues.  I believe they just wanted to beat SmarterMail 3 to the market at all costs.

Hopefully there will be rapid hot fixes released, but to date it doesn't seem like that will be the case.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Imail 2006 activation problem

I had upgraded to Imail 2006, but because of problems I had to revert back to Imail 8.22.  Well now, I am installing Imail 2006 on a separate box as a brand new install, but it won't let me because my activation limit has been exceeded.  But of course I don't have Imail 2006 installed anywhere anymore, so this is a little bit of a problem.  Anyone else had this problem?  Any ideas other than contacting customer service?
